On Thursday, January 14, 2021 Yolanda Monroy loving mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 62 after battling pneumonia and COVID-19. Yolanda was born on March 4,1958 in San Antonio, TX to Elvira and Elijio Monroy. She received her G.E.D. and was a caregiver in the infant room for many years at Sparrow Childtime in Lansing, MI.

Yolanda loved to sing and dance while around the house cooking or cleaning. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was kind, sweet, loving, and all-around wonderful woman.

Yolanda was preceded in death by: her parents, Elvira and Elijio Monroy.

She is survived by: her two loving sons, Alejandro Flores and Matthew (Carmen) Flores; her loving four grandsons, Alejandro Jr., Matthew Jr., Diego, and Sergio; step granddaughter, Kamille; sisters, Diana and Olga; brothers, Julian and Armando; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St Joseph St. Lansing, MI from 3pm-6pm with burial Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11am at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
