Wilma "Ruth" Anderson Thomas transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 84 years. Ruth was born on May 1, 1941, to Joe and Evelyn Phifer Anderson in Okolona, Arkansas. She was the third of six children.

Ruth moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1959. After moving to Lansing, she accepted the Lord and joined Saint Paul Church of God in Christ. She was a choir member and Sunday school teacher. Ruth had a servant's heart, opening her home and cooking meals for many. She later joined Mount Hope Church, which she attended until her passing.

Ruth continued to grow in her faith serving at the Gilead Healing Center and the Global Prayer Center until her physical health began to decline. She continued in the faith reaching out to many on the phone telling them about Christ and praying for them.

Ruth worked at the State of Michigan Department of Treasury as a data processor and retired in 1985.

She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Rickie Carl (Geneva); grandson, Derrick Carl (Cara); great-granddaughter, Evelyn Rose; great-grandson, Jackson David Hawthorne; brother, Alfredie (Rosie) Anderson; sister, Barbara Kaye Williams; aunt, Opal Sue Rice; sister-n-laws, Martha and Pauline Anderson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
