Wilford Ray Bean, Jr. was, born January 8, 1954 to Wilford and Sally Bean in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He was always called Ray by family and friends. Ray moved to Albion, Michigan at a young age and worked at Harvard Industries until he moved to Lansing to work at Fisher Body in skilled trades. Ray was preceded in death by; his brothers, Harold Bean and Tony Bean; and his sisters, Debbie Lynn Bean and Ronia Marie Bean. Ray departed this life on September 17, 2013 after a long illness. He leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Michael (Danielle) Bean and Terrance (Kayli) Bean, both of Lansing, Michigan; two daughters, Stephanie (Phillip) Mastin of Albion, Michigan and Kimberly (Durrand) Brown of Jackson, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Mattie P. Dean, Wilma Thomas, and Anna Vines, all of Lansing, Sarah Oliver of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Emily Byrd of Jonesboro, Georgia; three brothers-in-law, Freddie Thomas, and John Vines, both of Lansing, and Theo Byrd of Jonesboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Bean will be held Wednesday, September 25, 12pm, at the Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.
