Wendell (Butch) Strickland passed away at home on May 12, 2024. Butch was born on March 15, 1941 to Frank and Helena Strickland (Jackson) and lived the majority of his life in Lansing. He was employed for 37 years with the United States Postal Service. During his off time he enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, watching football and cruising the Caribbean. He was also a fan and collector of Jazz, Blues and Soul music.

Butch is survived by: his partner of 43 years, Linda Coulter; his son, Daryl (Teer) Strickland; his grandsons, Aaron (Mariah Owens) and Justin; great-granddaughter, Nyomi; brothers, Jimmy Beard and Kenneth Strickland; cousin, Saundra (Frank) Moton; and many other special friends and family.
