Ware Collins, (formerly of Flint, MI) born on July 20, 1927, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on November 19, 2023, at the age of 96 in East Lansing, Michigan. He was a cherished husband, a devoted father, and a respected member of his community.

Ware dedicated 30 years of his life to the Flint Public School System, where he served as a teacher. From 1962 to 1992, he imparted knowledge and inspired countless young minds as he taught General Science, Biology, and Chemistry at Flint Central High School, Lowell Junior High School, and Whittier Junior High School. His commitment to education and his passion for nurturing the next generation left an indelible
mark on the lives of his students.

Outside of his professional life, Ware found solace and joy in his love for gardening. His green thumb was evident in the beauty of his extensive Rose Garden, which he tended to with great care and dedication during the warm summer days. Ware's love for nature and his ability to create beauty with his hands were testaments to his gentle spirit.

Ware Collins is survived by: his son, Ronald Collins; grandsons, Ronnie (Rebecca) Collins II, Aaron Collins; and great-grandson, Julian Collins;  sister, Ernestine Smith, PhD; niece, Shiela Smith; nephew, Ernest Rose, MD; cousins, Richard Holland, Lolita McDavid, MD, MPA, Helen Ruth Collins, Sherry Glover Thompson and her daughter Lauren Scott.

Ware was preceded in death by: his beloved wife, Sadie M. Collins; father, Ernest Govan Collins; mother, Rebecca Ware Collins; sister, Helen Collins-Hill, PhD; and cousins, Henry Glover and Nelson Glover. Their memories will forever be cherished and the legacy they left behind will continue to inspire.
