Tony Anthony
Brickhouse
June 13, 1963 – March 24, 2025
Tony Anthony Brickhouse was born June 13, 1963 to James and Lucille Brickhouse (who preceded him in death). Tony was the fifth born of ten children from that union. Tony attended elementary and junior high in the Chicago School System. He graduated from Cregier Vocational High School where he was a member of the wrestling team and studied Auto Body Mechanics. Tony was employed as a cook at Wendy's for three years and a filler at Lyphomed Pharmaceuticals for eight years. He then worked as a machine operator, a forklift driver, and a paint filler at Sherwin Williams for thirty-two years before retiring in 2020.
Tony embraced his faith in God and Jesus Christ from a young age, participating in the choir at his local church. He took pride in being a member of St. John Grand Lodge King David No.1 A.Y. & A.M. and even explored teachings with Jehovah's Witnesses for a time. Tony loved to skate and was known to Cut-the Rug on the dance floor, often winning various competitions. Known for his singing and playful humor, Tony was a family-oriented individual who spoke candidly, radiated warmth with his big laughter and big smile, and possessed a generous heart. Those who knew him couldn't help but love him. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar and later in life he enjoyed taking cruises.
In 1993, Tony created a union with LaTangia Siddell and they collectively blended five children. He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, LaTangia Brickhouse; his five children, Marvell (Marchay) Brickhouse, Lacharo (Gwen) Bridgeforth, Kharmelita (Jermaine) Bridgeforth, Timbree (Columbus) Cosby, and Ca Tonya Siddell; eight grandchildren; twelve siblings (four whom preceded him in death); special friends, Steve Brown, Will "Red" Smith, Charles "Petey" Smith; his coworker, Henry Bradley; and a host of beloved family and friends.
