Visitation: Friday, May 11, 11a - 9p Funeral: Saturday, May 12, 1pm at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 5200 Pleasant Grove Road Lansing, MI Tommie Louise Thompson, age 67, was born November 11, 1944 in Montgomery County, AL to Washington and Classie Murray and crossed over to eternal rest on May 5, 2012. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church since 1980 and played a vital role throughout the years as church secretary and clerk. She was proud and loved working for the church. Tommie was preceded in death by: her husband, Willie J. Thompson. She leaves to forever cherish her precious memory: 3 children, Darryl I, Valerie, and Rhonda Thompson all of Lansing; 7 grandchildren, Brieonna, Jourdyn, Darryl II, Demetria Meechi , Darrius, Jaedeyn Carswell-Thompson and Jaeveyn Carswell-Thompson all of Lansing; 4 sisters, Rosia L. Williams of Lansing, Janice M. Noble of Detroit, MI, Lillie Wells and Marjorie L. Lawson, both of Montgomery, AL; brothers-in-law: Heyward Williams of Covington, GA and John C. (Ann) Thompson of Birmingham, AL; sisters-in-law, Jessie Murray of Detroit, Mary Murray of Chicago, IL, Lucille Bell and Lela M. Thompson both of Lansing; and a host of relatives and friends.
