Terry Lynn Schaefer, of Dewitt MI, passed away on November 20, 2020 at the age of 66.

Terry was born in St. Johns, MI to Paul and Joan Schaefer. He was raised in Dewitt, MI and graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1972 going on to earn an engineering degree from ITT in Fort Wayne, IN. He worked for Gilbert Commonwealth and Consumers Energy.

Terry was preceded in death by: his wife, Dawn Schaefer; mother, Joan Schaefer; and sister, Karen Adams.

Terry is survived by: his children, Brent (Brittany Yeager) and Bethany Schaefer; granddaughter, Kylara Spencer.

Terry is also survived by: companion, Bev Hixson; father Paul Schaefer; brothers, Jerry, Tim (Tina), Doug (Kathy), Tom (Marilyn), Kevin (Amy); sister, Mary Jo (Tim) Lampton; and brother-in-law, Don (Lois) Adams; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Terry was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as Honor Guard and 4 ^th degree Knight of council #7237. Terry also attained Eagle Scout rank along with all five of his brothers.

Due to the current health crisis, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
