Susan Klein, 70, of Lansing, passed away Tuesday June 22, 2021 at Grandhaven Living Center in Lansing Michigan. She was born July 17, 1950 in Harrisville, Michigan to Otto and Vera (MacNeill) Klein.

Sue graduated from Alcona High School in 1968. In high school she participated in a number of plays and was known for having fun. She was employed by a few businesses through her early teenage years and through this, many people knew of her by her smile. Afterward she attended Alpena Community College before moving to Lansing. Sue worked as a Department Analyst and later a Project Manager for the State of Michigan Treasury department before retiring in 2010.

Sue enjoyed sports, following Michigan State athletics, the Detroit Tigers, and was a March Madness fanatic. Sue was an avid golfer and participated on a Lansing area golf league called the Lady Teebirds. She liked to travel and spent many vacations on cruise ships traveling to the Caribbean. Sue also enjoyed crosswords, reading, and knitting. She was often the life of the party, enjoyed socializing with friends and family, making funny faces, and being her quirky self.

Sue is survived by: her sister, Sheila (Lon) Wilkinson of Lansing; brother, Kim Klein of Marquette; and nieces, Julie (Tina) Wilkinson and Beth (Eric) Clark.

She was preceded in death by: her parents Otto, on July 13, 2013 and Vera, on August 14, 2009.

Memorials may be made to either Laurus Hospice or Hospice of Lansing.
