Obituary

On Friday July 19, 2019 at 12:32AM, Steven Edward Miller (Steve), passed away due to complications after undergoing a bloodless heart transplant at the age of 60.

He was born April 1, 1959 to Ronald and Vonna Miller. As a boy he lived up to his April fool's birthday and became quite the jokester all the way up through his adult life. It was very rare to catch Steve without a huge smile on his face. He earned his Associates degree at Lansing Community College for Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Machining. Then he earned his journeyman's certificate thru his workplace.

Steve was married to his wife, Anita, for 26 years and together they had three daughters: Cheyenne, Desjarae, and Breanna. He also had two other children: Steve Jr. and Stephanie.

On his spare time, he enjoyed playing and learning new songs on his banjo in the basement, attending music in the park, long drives to nowhere, and going to lake Michigan with his family. No matter the temperature of the water, he would almost always dive directly in. He had a love for food and wasn't afraid of trying new things. The best part about Steve was his love for his family. He spent his lifetime helping his family and was a good man to have in your corner. Just like he said when his father passed, we ask in loving memory of Steve, for you to hug your family and never take a day for granted. Steve also wanted to personally thank everyone who has donated after he got out of the hospital, so he wanted to left those know how much that meant to him and that he was extremely touched that people care enough to help.
