Obituary

Steven "Rob" Robert Eisele , 52, of Lansing passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2023. Rob was born the oldest of three children to Robert and Nancy on November 28, 1971 in Lansing, MI. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1989.

Through the years he enjoyed playing golf, basketball, and cards with friends. He never gave up on the Detroit Lions and was proud to be a fan. He was always dressed to impress with freshly cleaned Nikes and you wouldn't see him anywhere without a hat supporting his favorite local teams. He spent a majority of his career in the auto parts business, where he eventually ran an auto parts store in Howell, MI.

Rob had two daughters, Jordan and Chellsie, whom he loved very much. His fondest memories with his eldest, Jordan, consisted of nights spent on the couch watching the television and sharing a plate of sour lemons. Rob took Jordan just about everywhere as a child and they were each others best friends. Even when Jordan grew up they still had an incredible bond and spoke just about everyday. His youngest, Chellsie, shared a love of hats. Whenever they were together she would borrow one of his hats to sport around with him. Rob was proud to be a "girl dad".

He loved spoiling his two grandchildren. He enjoyed spending his Sunday mornings playing video games with his grandson, attending his sporting events, and sharing their love of basketball together. His granddaughter would drag him to her bedroom and share with him her latest Barbie's in which he would listen to every story she told as they played in her Barbie Dream house together, he bought for her one Christmas. Rob made sure his grandchildren knew how much he loved them.

Rob was very close with his siblings. When Rob and his brother, Michael, were young they would ride dirt bikes together around their childhood neighborhood. His sister, Julie, would always need to save the boys from the trouble they would get themselves into. As adults, Rob and Mike spoke nearly everyday, even if it was to just say "Good morning". Rob and his siblings have always leaned on each other and loved one another very much. His mother, Nancy, was his biggest fan. They had an unbreakable bond between mother and son. He was proud to be her son.

Rob loved and cared for his people deeply. He showed up continuously for those he loved, no matter the circumstance. To know Rob, was to love him. He showed kindness with everyone he came in contact with whether he knew you or not. Wherever he went, you knew he was there. His loud laughter and joke making was sure to be heard throughout the entire room. He was not shy, not even a little bit.

Rob was preceded in death by: his father, Robert William Eisele and his step-father, Cecil "Sonny" Lamanna. He is survived by: his mother, Nancy LaManna; brother, Michael (Dianne) Eisele; sister, Julianne Stenger; daughters, Jordan (Grant) Acton and Chellsie Eisele; two grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in spring of next year.
