Obituary

Mr. Stephen Phillip Kaechele was born November 11, 1967 and passed away May 17, 2017.  Stephen was proceeded in hs departure by his father, John P. "Jack" Kaechele.  He leaves behind his mother Georgia T. Kaechele, three daughters, Karmen, Kenya, and Kira Kaechele, two grandchildren, Iyanna Kaechele and Krew Ciliberti.  We are also joined in his home going with a host of cousins from Grand Rapids, Middleville and many friends from Lansing.
Steve embraced always having a relationship with nature.  Wherever he went animals from birds to deer would approach him as a friend, communing together briefly then parting changed and improved.  We believe he would want his funeral to reflect the same.  Though we gather in sadness for the loss of our son, friend, father, cousin, and team mate he would want us to take this time to reflect on moving forward not with a broken heart but looking toward living an amazing life through travel, love, and adventure as he did with us, forever changed and improved.  See you on the other side Steve. We love you.

Steve will lie in repose Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 3-6pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 West Saint Joseph Street, Lansing, Michigan. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Life Christian Church, 2560 Eaton Rapids Road, Lansing, MI 48911. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the funeral.


Immediately following the service, snacks and beverages will be available at the same location.
