Shahina Seraj was born January 2, 1959 to Saira Khatoon and Razi-ul Haq in Pakistan. She moved to the United States of America in 1998. Shahina was united in marriage to the late Syel Azher Seraj on January 4, 1980. To this union were born Maria, Sumera, Shariq and Hassan. She was a wonderful mom, wife and grandmother. Her priority was taking care of her family, followed by shopping, working and traveling. Shahina has been employed with Meijer on West Saginaw in Lansing since 1999. She enjoyed working with her team at Meijer. She was respected and greeted everyone with a cheerful movement. Shahina belonged to a muslim family and joined the Islamic Society of Greater Lansing in 1999. Shahina passed away on May 3, 2012. Survivors include: her daughters, Maria, Shariq and Hassan, all of Lansing, Sumera (son-in-law, Naveed Iqbal) Seraj of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; granddaughter, Alizah Iqbal; brother, Zahid Razi and family; brother-in-law, Farhat Seraj and family; and many other relatives and friends.
