Sarah Ann Drayton was born February 11, 1958 to Willy Drayton, Sr. and Elizabeth Drayton in Lansing, Michigan. Sarah graduated from Everett High school in 1977. Sarah worked for Lansing School district as a lunch aide for many years until she medically retired. Sarah was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she was involved in the nurse ministry, Sunday school teacher, greeter and vacation bible school. Sara was also a past Girl Scout leader. She was a devoted sister, aunt, daughter and friend. Sarah loved to shop and buy gifts for others, and doing crafts especially around major holidays. Sarah loved to talk and be around family and friends. Sarah was preceded in death by her dad Willy Drayton, Sr.; her brother, Willy Drayton, Jr.; and half-brother, Lamar Burr. Sarah went home to be with the Lord on September 19 2015. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her mother, Elizabeth Drayton; siblings, Tina Drayton of Nashville, Tennessee, Sharon (Dennis) Childs, Aris (Barrett) Vaughn of Montgomery, Alabama, Damon Drayton and Ervin (Tamera) Boyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Sarah will be missed by all who were part of her life.
