Sandra Dee
Mcdaniel
July 12, 1960 – July 1, 2021
"Honor her for all that her hands have done" - Proverbs 31:31
On July 12, 1960, Sandra McDaniel was born to the proud parents of Sgt. Willie Davis and Rosemary Davis in Blytheville, Arkansas. She attended Sexton High School and accepted Christ at an early age.
On November 23, 1990, she united in holy matrimony to Chauncey McDaniel and they were married for 30 years. To this union, one child was born. Sandra worked at Comcast for a number of years, but left the workforce to raise her daughter. After her daughter graduated college, she returned to work again.
Sandra attended church and previously served as a deaconess. She was encouraging, funny and creative. She enjoyed shopping, reading books and staying active. She shared her love for reading with her daughter, and they always read books together. The three of them enjoyed doing many family activities together, such as: seeing the animals at Potter Park Zoo, going to the movies and going out to eat ice cream.
She was called home on July 1, 2021 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Sgt. Willie Davis and Rosemary Davis; sister, Martha Thomas; and brother, Michael Davis. She leaves to celebrate her memories: her husband of 30 years, Chauncey McDaniel; daughter, ReBekah McDaniel; sisters, Imogene Thomas, Florine (John) Bradford, Wanda (Garrett) Bell; brothers, Carl Davis, Tyrone Burkes, and Pastor John E. (Ivory) Burch, from Michigan and Illinois; four brother in-laws; two sister in-laws; and a host of nieces and nephews.
