Obituary

Pastor Rosie Mae Griffith was born to Mr. George Miller and Ms. Rosie Lee Wilson on March 16, 1943 in Blytheville, Arkansas. Rosie found the love of God and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Paul Garrett.

Pastor Rosie resided in Arkansas for seventeen years before packing up and moving to Lansing, Michigan, where raised her five children.

Pastor Rosie worked as a waitress to make way before putting herself through cosmetology school, where she earned her license and became a hair beautician. Shortly after, she started up her own hair salon, that she ran successfully for many years before retiring in 1989.

God had called Rosie to the ministry where she was ordained. She then became Pastor Rosie Mae Griffith. Later, she went on to open the church doors of Hope House Ministries, located right in the heart of the community, where she can share the gospel and be a reach out for the community that she too, also resided in. She loved ministering to all walks of life, leading so many souls to the Lord. Pastor Rosie Mae Griffith was a devil slayer, a woman of God who loved the Lord and lived a life nothing short of it. She was sweet and soft, but when it came to making the devil flee, she was fearless and strong.

Pastor Rosie was a loving, kind, and supportive woman who gave a lot of herself. Pastor Rosie Mae Griffith touched and supported a whole lot of us. Whether it was feeding you, clothing you, sheltering you, being a listening ear or even praying for you. Yes, a prayer warrior is what she was and you best believe, when she prayed that enemy backed on up! She loved to pray. It was her favorite pass time. Pastor Rosie Mae Griffith did her work here on earth and God is very pleased.

Pastor Rosie Mae Griffith was preceded in death by: her two daughters, Barbara Woods and Carolyn Davis of Lansing, Michigan her parents, Mr. George Miller of Blytheville, Arkansas and Ms. Rosie Lee Wilson of Lansing, Michigan; two sisters, Margreth Rowe of Los Angeles, California and Joanne Spears of Lansing, Michigan; three brothers, Grady Hunt of Detroit, Michigan, Frank Canal Hunt of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Robert Lee Oliver (Biggon) of Homestead, Florida.

Monday, October 7, 2019 Pastor Rosie Mae Griffith transitioned from this life and went home to glory.
