Obituary

Rose Rosser went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2025 at U of M Heath – Sparrow Hospital.

She was born on November 12, 1940 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Roosevelt and Erma Hudson, and was one of six children.

Rose attended the Lansing School District and graduated from Sexton High School with the class of 1978. Rose worked for Trinity Lutheran Child Care Center for the past 18 years where she was the Head toddler teacher. Prior to that she was the Head Toddler teacher at Emanual Lutheran for nine years; who recommended her and her skills to Trinity. Among her many other accomplishments she worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections. She studied law enforcement, mixology, Hotel/Motel marketing and resort management, food prep & production, and human relations and childcare courses to better her knowledge in her remaining employment. In her spare-time she enjoyed picnics and holiday time with her family and friends, always sharing good food and spirits.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Roosevelt and Erma Hudson; sisters, Dorothy Hudson, Donna Hudson, Hattie Gardner; brothers, Neil Jackson, Roosevelt Hudson, Jr.; aunt Juanita "Aunt Bo" Burtley, Samella Allen; and beloved life partner, Carl Clemons.

Rose is survived by: nieces and nephews, Diane Miller, Minister Derrick (Bernadette) Walker, Alger Gardner, Linnette Gardner, Todd Hudson, Rovonya (Domingo) Velasquez all of Lansing, Michigan, Tammy (Tim) Kenney of Jacksonville, Florida, Roosevelt Outlaw of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, William Gardner; and a long list of extended family.
