Obituary

Ronald (Ron) Vermillion, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2020 at the age of 66.

Ron is survived by: his wife, Ronda Vermillion (Foster); his children, Noel (Pat) Sibley, Angela Vermillion, Ronald (Kristen) Vermillion, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Vermillion; grandchildren, Shana Sibley, Joshua Sibley, Christine Francoeur, Keaghan Francoeur, Nikki Vermillion, and Dorian Vermillion; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by: his parents, Colleen Morris (Simmons) and Donald Vermillion, Sr.; his siblings, including his twin brother and best friend, Donald Vermillion, Jr.; his youngest son, Bobby Vermillion; and niece, Marcy Mix.

Ron was born in Lansing on May 1, 1954, to Colleen Morris and Donald Vermillion, Sr. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1972. In that same year, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Forrestal CVA-59. On August 4, 2001, Ron married the love of his life, Ronda (Foster). Later in his life, he was lucky to begin his dream career as a business owner in roadside service where he would be able to help others all day long.

Ron was the most loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. There was nothing that brought him more peace and happiness than supporting, helping, and talking for hours with those he knew and loved. When he loved someone, he loved them with his whole heart, without any hesitation. While he served in the U.S. Navy, the titles that he wore like badges of honor were that of dad and grandpa. The time he was able to spend with his wife and family brought him moments of pure euphoria - there was nothing he cherished more. His silly child-like demeanor brought an unmatched ray of sunshine to all gatherings and celebrations that will live on in his family's memories for a lifetime. There truly was no one like Ron - someone who was the best at putting a smile on your face and brightening everyone's spirits. His absence will forever leave an irreparable hole in his family as he is truly irreplaceable and one-of-a-kind.

Due to the current health crisis, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered to the family in his guest book on the Riley Funeral Home website.

There will be no services for Mr. Vermillion at this time.
