Roma Jean Witherell was born in Lima, Ohio on October 2, 1939 to Edmund and Helen Foster. She was the youngest of two. She has an older brother, Harry Foster who resides in Ohio. Roma was a loving and caring mother of 8 children: Harry Foster, Danny Wiltherell, Cindy Sommer, Sandy Witherell, Patsy Cartwright, Tammy Witherell, Patience Witherell, and Breaze Witherell. She also loved being a grandmother to her 13 grandchildren: Sharess Witherell, Misty Miner, Cory Witherell, Laurie Foster, Shelly Geller, Christina Figgins, Mike Mier, Josh Mier, Sonia Godines, Ronnie Wiltse and preceded in death by Kimberly Witherell, Juan Godines, and Rodney Lee Jr.  She also had several great and great great grand children.

Roma lived in the Lansing and surrounding areas for a large portion of her life. She recieved her GED from West Junior in Lansing, Michigan when she was in her thirties. She raised all of her children and helped raise a few of the grandchildren as well. Thanksgiving and Christmas were always her favorite time of the year, because she could see everyone when they come over for dinner. She would always try to make sure everyone had a gift.

Roma was a sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and aunt. Above all, she was a beautiful loving and caring person. She was strong willed and didn't let much stop her. She would take in the neighbor's kids no question asked. She would always ask how everyone was doing. She even could tell you the name of every last one of grandchild to great great grandchilds.

She was loved by many and will be missed by many.
