Mr. Rodney Brackins was born on March 6, 1957 in Flint, Michigan to the late Lucille and Albert Brackins. He had four siblings: Brenda (James) Cummings, Edward (Shirley) Brackins, Anthony (Milaflor) Brackins and Albert Brackins.

Rodney moved to Lansing, Michigan when he was united in holy matrimony to his best friend and life partner, Sandra Kay Moore.

Rodney was a family man who provided well for his family, working for General Motors for 25 years as a Production Worker. Upon his retirement he worked for Michigan State University.

He loved listening to Tupac while playing games on his phone, His favorite road trip was going to the casino!

On September 12, 2023 Rodney was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. Rodney's job was complete and a job well done. A golden heart stopped beating and his hands are at rest.

Rodney was preceded in death by: his loving parents, Albert and Lucille Brackins; beloved sisters, Carolyn Nelson and Helen Blassingame; nephew, James Blassingame Jr; and great niece, Latasih Nelson.

Rodney is survived by: his loving wife of 12 years, Sandra Kay Brackins; three sons, Rodney Brackins Jr of Flint, Michigan, Ronnie (Jessica) Brackins of Orlando, Florida, Justin Moore of Lansing, Michigan; six grandchildren, Maliyah Mo'ney, Onalee Bell, Layla Brackins, Justin Moore, Justice Moore, Kyrie Moore; nine nieces; six nephews; and a host of family and friends.
