Roberta Melanie Albert, a most loved sister/aunt/cousin/friend who lived her life in service to others, transitioned on Monday, November 25, 2024 surrounded by family. Born on February 21, 1943, Roberta was a graduate of Lansing Sexton High School and later attended cosmetology school. She was an artist and graced the world with beauty, design, and creativity. Her love for decorating, gardening, painting, cooking, and baking were among her many creative passions. She was deeply spiritual; her love for God was a source of inspiration. Her generosity, empathy and compassion were among her greatest gifts.

Roberta's Hair Company was a fixture in locations across Lansing for more than 40 years. She truly cared for her many clients. She was active in the Nat'l Cosmetology Assoc and ran the salon in the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island for several years. Her travels took her to Europe, the Middle East, and throughout North America.

Her love for family was profound - she spent countless hours with her nieces and nephews, encouraging them to follow their dreams. Her love was truly unconditional; her giving nature never ceased. She touched many lives with this same loving-kindness, leaving every connection more refined.

She was preceded in her transition to eternal life by: her parents, Michael and Adell Albert; sister, Nancy; brothers, Will (Julia), Alan, and Doug; and brother-in-law, Thomas Walker. Her sister Rosalie Walker; sister-in-law, Marjorie Albert; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will celebrate the gifts Roberta gave all of us on February 22, 2025. St. Gerard, Willow Hwy, Visitation at 10 am, Mass at 11 am, luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any monetary donations go to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
