Mr. Robert Louis Scott, Jr. was born on April 12, 1943, in Lansing, Michigan, to Robert Hopkins and Vera O. Allen (Scott). He was one of nine children. Robert departed this life on June 27, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan.

Robert was educated in Lansing, Michigan, graduated and received his High School Diploma from J.W. Sexton High School.

Robert served in the United States Army from June 29, 1961 to June 28, 1967. After returning from serving his country, Robert worked in the construction/carpentry field until retirement.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert Hopkins and Vera O. Allen (Scott); and his siblings, Lawrence Allen, Chester Allen Jr., Kenneth Allen, Alvin Allen, and Rita Allen.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Katrina Scott-Vinson and Elizabeth (Thomas) Hunter; grandchildren, Katrina Jackson, Isaac Vinson, Kyla Mae Lilly, and Thaddeus Hunter; three siblings, Ernest Scott, Marcia Ward, and Muriel Allen; four great grandchildren, Jackson Bowden, Hampton Bowden, Gregory Vinson, and Neva Vinson; along with an extended family of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
