Robert "Pee Funk" Davis was born October 16, 1963 in Lansing, Michigan to Ellis C. Davis and Carrie Van Dyke.

Robert was born and raised in Lansing Michigan and graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1981. He furthered his schooling by attending Lansing Community College for two years.

Robert joined the basketball team at Lansing Community College and enjoyed watching sports. He especially liked San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia Eagles and Michigan State Spartans. Robert also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and gardening.

Robert is survived by: his pride and joy, Robert Davis II of Kalamazoo, MI and Katelin Metzger of Phoenix, AZ; light of his life, granddaughter, Londyn Benson; mother, Carrie VanDyke; siblings, Marcus Porter, Ivy (Lisa) Davis, Omar Davis, Sandra Taylor, and Debra Porter; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by: father, Ellis (Pops) Davis; brother, Ellis Davis Jr.; niece, Rubineta Porter; nephew, Ivy C. Davis Jr.; grandparents, Mary Henderson, Robert Davis Sr., and Willie Johnson; and brother in law, Larry Taylor.

Mr. Robert Davis will lie in repose Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 2-4 pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 West St. Joseph Street Lansing, Michigan 48933. Service for Mr. Robert Davis will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 12 pm at Galilee Baptist Church on 2511 Reo Rd Lansing, Michigan 48911 . The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
