"But our commonwealth is in Heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will change our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power which enables Him even to subject all things to Himself." Philippians 3:20-21

On Friday, July 1st, 182 days into the year of the Lord 1949, in the city of Lansing and State of Michigan, Edgar and Lottie Moore were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Constance Rene Moore. As a young scholar, Rene, as she was affectionally known, attended schools in Lansing, Michigan graduating from J. W. Sexton in June of 1967. Ms. Moore loved to try her skills in sports, particularly in track participating on "J Dubbs" Girls' Track Team. Watching this "professional roller skater" was a joy as she moved with elegance. Rene aka "Miss Stylist" was known for "dressing to impress" in her sleek outfits with matching accessories. No hair on her head was ever out of place!

Under the leadership of Rev. Joel L. King, Ms. Moore united with Union Missionary Baptist Church. With Jesus as her example, Rene showed selfless care always willing to help in any capacity needed at Union. She served diligently as a door keeper for the house of the Lord and sang in the Youth Choir. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." II Timothy 2:15

Ms. Moore retired from Michigan Bell Telephone Company at the tender age of forty-nine after 30 plus years of explementary service as an administrator assistant. She left an unforgettable legacy at Michigan Bell.

Luther DeMyers and Rene Moore were united in holy matrimony in Lansing, Michigan and to this union one son was born, Lorenzo DeMyers.

In her spare time, Rene enjoyed walking for pleasure while greeting each person she met with a joyful greeting even in the mist of her own anxieties. Dancing to old school music was another form of exercise she loved and could find a dance partner even while walking in the community.

In the mid-day hours of Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 2:39 PM Rene DeMyers left this earthly vessel to rejoice in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in her journey by: her son, Jason Flennoy; former husband, Luther DeMyers; brothers, Lorie and Derrick
Moore; several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Many precious memories will be shared by: her son, Lorenzo DeMyers; parents, Edgar and Lottie Moore; sister, Jennifer Moore; brothers Kenrick and Bernard; one grandson, Bentley Shupp; special niece, Sian Leach; along with a plethora of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither the present, nor the future, nor any powers, neither nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
