Age 71, was born March 6, 1941 in Sedalia, NC to Harvey Martin and Rebecca Mills and passed away on June 12, 2012. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Ray retired from Meijer as a truck driver. Ray was a true outdoors men; he loved to hunt and fish. He was a softball legend, and was inducted into the Michigan Softball Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Harvey Martin and Rebecca Mills. He is survived by: his children, Darryl (Victoria), Carol (Rick), Raymond, Jr., and Brent (Jill). He absolutely loved his grandchildren Jarrett, Brooklyn,Ashley, Elise, Sidney, Ethan, and Greyson. Ray also had a very special affection for his great-grandson Cameron. Friends may visit Mr. Martin Monday, June18, from 9-1 pm, at Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will held Monday, June 18, 2 pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 West St. Joseph St. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
