Penny Marie (Symons) Fisher, of Lansing, MI, received her wings on July 13, 2023. Penny was born to Jimmie Symons and Lula "Sue" (Bowlin) Laferriere on October 12, 1962.

Penny was a free spirit with a personality and sense of humor that made her unforgettable. She loved making people laugh and smile, she enjoyed music and dancing, and loved spending time with her son and grandson.

Penny was a devoted daughter, sister and very proud mother of her son, Justin, and very proud Nana to her grandson, Saint.

She was preceded in death by: grandparents, Troy and Lille Bowlin; parents, Jimmie Symons and Lula "Sue" Laferriere; stepfather, Orel "Dick" Laferriere; brother in law, Terry Barnhart; and dear friend, Sue.

She is survived by: her son, Justin Symons; grandson, Saint Symons; siblings, Connie Barnhart, Bonnie Potter, Jim Symons, Vicky Symons, Troy Laferriere, Kayla Laferriere; and several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jim Snead.

She will be solemnly missed and always loved by her family, especially by her son, Justin, and grandson, Saint.

There will be a celebration of life for Ms. Fisher at a later date.
