Lansing, MI Age 100 and the matriarch of 4 generations, was born November 22, 1912 in Wesson, MS. and made her triumphant ascension to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 13, 2012. She retired from Michigan State University and was a pillar in this community. Pastor Tyner was preceded in death by her husbands, Leon Tyner and Curtis DeMyers, Sr. and sons, James O. DeMyers and Curtis DeMyers, Jr. Survivors include: her son, Joseph (Velma) DeMyers; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and host of relatives and friends. Friends may visit Pastor Tyner Wednesday, December 19, 1 - 4 pm at the Riley Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 pm, at Ellis Tabernacle, 1916 Olds Ave. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, 11 am, at Trinity AME Church, 3500 W. Holmes Rd.
