Nelson Eddy Bond Jr., born September 9, 1968, to educators in East Orange, New Jersey. He excelled in basketball at Clifford Scott High School, where he graduated in 1986. Nelson earned a degree in Special Education from Central State University in 1991 and a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State University in 1994.

Throughout his career, Nelson served in various roles in Michigan schools, leaving a lasting impact on students and colleagues. He was a  cherished husband, to Melissa and father, to Jadon. Nelson is survived by: his mother (Gladys Bond), sister (Lisa Bond Brewer), and extended family. He passed away on April 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of passion for education and love for his family.
