Nancy J. Lonnie departed this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. Nancy was born December 12, 1950 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to her parents Willie Fred, Jr. and Alice Lonnie. They both preceded her in death.

Nancy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Original Church of God, where she remained a faithful supporter. She graduated from J. W. Sexton High School and attended Lansing Community College. Nancy retired from General Motors Corporation in 2004 after 26 years of service.

Nancy enjoyed entertaining in her home, where you could find her on most days. Her first love was music and helping others. She also enjoyed cooking and decorating her home. Nancy was a very caring person who always looked out for others, often times when she herself did not feel the best. She would give you the shirt off her back if you asked her for it. You will never find a more giving person; who was loved by her siblings, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family of friends.

Nancy leaves to cherish her memory: her sister and best friend, Sandra Neal, Los Angeles, CA; Donnie (Pamela) Bland, Grand Rapids, MI; special Aunt she adored and cared for, Julia Anderson, Lansing, MI; Lelia Bland, Chicago, IL; Uncle Otis (Mary Lou) Bland, Colorado Springs, CO; nephews, Lovell Bland and Terrance Lonnie, Lansing, MI; with 3 great nephews and several other relatives and long-time friends.
