Hollingsworth
August 27, 1951 – February 23, 2021
Milus, loving son, brother and father passed away at age 69 was born in Allegan, Michigan.
PFC Milus Hollingsworth served as a cook in the U.S. Army from May 9, 1973 to February 1977 with a tour in Germany. He was honorably discharged from service on September 26, 1980.
He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Lansing Community College in General Studies. He made the Presidential Honor's List in June 2016 and returned to earn a second Associate's Degree in 2019.
Milus loved his house and working in the yard. His greatest pass-time was showing off his cooking skills hosting barbeques in his yard for friends and family especially on July 4
th
. He also supported church activities at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
Milus loved singing and participated in various karaoke events. His love for music extended to him playing the saxophone. He worked at several restaurants in the Lansing area, and volunteered at Habit for Humanity.
Milus is preceded in death by: his parents, Robert and Florence Hollingsworth; brother, Frederick Hollingsworth; sister, Juniata Williams (Goodlow). He is survived by: his son, Donavon; brothers, Yolyn (Nellie) and Robert Jr; sisters, Lola Weatherspoon (Anthony), Commillia Oliver and Lois Bufford; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are currently pending for Mr. Hollingsworth.
