Michelle Patricia Therese Meagher Ohl was born on August 12, 1952 to Philip Joseph Meagher, Jr.  and (Loretta) Lorraine Grace Waldner in Carbondale, Illinois. Her father was in the Air Force, so they moved around, but finally settled in Hamtramck, Michigan. Michelle lived out the remainder of her life in Michigan and left this earth much too soon to join her parents in heaven on January 30, 2020.

Michelle met the love of her life, Kevin Ohl, when she was still a rebellious teenager. The two eloped to California on a motorcycle and had many adventures along the way. They were married on August 13, 1970 on a racetrack in Berkley, California. Unfortunately, their California dream wasn't meant to be, and they returned to Michigan to start their family.

Michelle was happiest when she was with family, and she was the proud mother of five children and four grandchildren. She spent the majority of her life doing what she loved the most: taking care of her children and family. It was her most important job and no one was better at it! Michelle loved to cook and her family will greatly miss all of the amazing meals she made over the years. She was also an amazing artist and created many paintings and other "crafty" creations that she shared with her family.

In addition, Michelle was quite the seamstress and her children and grandchildren had many beautiful Halloween costumes to show for it. She also knitted and crocheted countless blankets and baby items for her children, grandchildren, and other family members. Michelle's other passions included reading and watching MSNBC, as Michelle had strong political views, she wasn't afraid to share!

Michelle is preceded in death by: her father, Philip (Kathy) Meagher Jr. and mother, Lorraine (Bill) Waldner.

She is survived by: her husband of almost 50 years, Kevin Ohl, as well as by her loving children, Nicole Ohl-Shaw, Shawn Ohl, James Ohl, Patrick Ohl, and Caitlin Ohl; grandchildren, Annalise Shaw, Gabriel Shaw, Genevieve Ohl-Badgley, and Arya Johnson; and her beloved dog Luna. Michelle is also survived by her siblings, Kevin (Carolann) Meagher, Kathy (Darryl) Fee, Timothy (Amy) Meagher, and Kelly (Craig) Koltonow; along with several aunts, an uncle, countless cousins, and her dearly loved nieces, nephew, and great-nieces and nephews.

The family suggests sending memorial contributions to The American Heart Association.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Heart Association.

There will be no services held for Mrs. Michelle Ohl.
