Michael was born August 25, 1948 in Grayling, Michigan. Michael was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, Manistee, Michigan. He loved fishing and football. When he could no longer fish, he dreamed about it. Michael left our world Fathers Day, June 16, 2013, to reunite with: his son, Nigig Genereaux, his parents; Isaac and Susan Negake Genereaux; baby sister Denise Genereaux; brothers, Rodney and Colby Genereaux and other loved ones. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Tonya (Kevin) Ridge of Hersey, Michigan, Michelle (James) Steele of Traverse City, Michigan, Winona (Ross) Francis and Crystal (Eric Sudall) Crampton, both of Lansing, Michigan; Adam (Heidi) Sprague of Port Huron, Michigan and Ronald (Trina Kerchen) Sprague of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathryn Genereaux of Mt. Pleasant and Mary Schrubbe of Portland, Michigan; brother, Gary Genereaux of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Genereaux will lie in repose Thursday June 20 from 1- 8 pm with the family receiving friends at 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 21, 1:00 pm at Riley Funeral Home.
