Michael Darnell Fields, Cedar Park, Texas, was born on July 26, 1968, in Chicago, IL, and was called home to glory on November 25, 2022.
He was a pioneer and legend of producing and creating one of the hottest Hip Hop and R&B video shows, 'Video Central,' for 10 years, airing in 5 different states and reaching over 200 million household viewers. He interviewed and aired Hip-Hop celebrities and R&B artists along with airing the most popular and most requested music videos. Video Central and Soft Vibes, spanned from 2000 to 2010.

Michael was married to Bridget James-Fields, and their union yielded two children: Michael Ray Fields and Christopher Fields. Michael had two children before their union: son, Zerria Hursey and daughter, Brittnay Collins.

Visitation for Mr. Fields will be held at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing, MI on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 3-6 p.m. Homegoing services will be held at the Lansing Church of God in Christ, 5304 Wise Rd, Lansing, MI with the family hour at 12 p.m. and services at 1 p.m.
