Mary Katheryn Martin, 76, of Lansing, Michigan passed away Thursday, February 3 , 2022, at McLaren Hospital in Lansing following a short battle with cancer. She was with family when she passed away.

She was born at Doctor's Hospital in Benton Harbor, MI on November 3 , 1945, to Arthur Wade and Ester Lucille Martin. Mary is survived by: her son, Michael; her grandsons, Jacob Martin and Charles Martin; and her sister, Roberta (Martin) Heuer. Beloved by: her niece, Laurie Mixon; her nephew, Terry Gainer; along with many great nieces and nephews; and her cat of many years, Goldie.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Anne Marbach.

M ary loved music, gardening, and Michigan State Basketball. Family history, genealogy, and quilting were also passions of hers. She attended Michigan State University and was a graduate of Lansing Community College. She had retired in 2003 from the State of Michigan as a computer analyst.

There will be a memorial service in her hometown of Three Oaks, Michigan on Saturday, April 23, 2022 . Family will receive visitors at 10am – noon with a visitation service at Pobocik Chapel and internment immediately following at the family cemetery Posey Chapel.
