Mary "Mae" Lee Jones, born February 28, 1934, in Clarksdale, Mississippi passed away peacefully Sunday, January 23, 2022, in Lansing, MI.

She will be reunited with her sons: Bart "Edward" Jones, Lamarr Jones, and Paul Jones.

Mae is preceded in death by: her mother, Amanda; brother, James; and sister, Bernice.

She is survived by: her son, Dell Jones; daughter, Melinda Jones; daughter-in-law, Malinda Jones-Vertrees (Bart "Edward" Jones); twin sister, Martha; sisters, Ethel, Charlene, Jerlene and Diane; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews. Mae had a special connection with her grandchildren, Dellesia, Dezell, Cassell, Nidell, Kennethe, Nigel, Kameron and Christian.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association in Mae's memory in lieu of flowers.

There will be no services at this time for Ms. Jones.
