It is with great sadness that the family of Mario Garcia announces his passing. After a courageous battle against cancer, surrounded by his family, Mario passed away at the age of 58 years on Sunday, February 25th, 2018.

Surviving is his daughter, Elizabeth (Dan Trevino) Castellanos; grandson, Michael Castellanos; niece, Heather (Chris) Apolinar; brother-in-law, Fred (Tammie) Moholland; siblings, Moises Garcia Jr., Guadelupe Garcia, Maria (Ray) Denson, Miguel Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Minerva (Patrick) Goggins, Joel (Mary) Garcia and Raul (Shannon) Garcia; and many close nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mario was devoted to family and friends and loved spending time with them. He loved fishing, being outdoors, music, dancing, and loved cooking on the grill. Mario will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Mario is predeceased in death by his wife, Linda Garcia; son, Robert Wood; and parents, Moises and Maria Garcia.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Lansing Central United Methodist Church, 215 N Capitol Ave, Lansing, MI 48933 . Interment will follow to lay Mario to rest with his beloved wife, at Evergreen Cemetery, 600 E Mt. Hope Ave, Lansing, MI 48910.
