Maria Alicia Gutierrez was born September 23, 1953 in San Diego, Texas to Manuel and Aurora Gutierrez. Maria was preceded in death by: her grandson, Tyrese Chambers; parents; brothers, Manuel Gutierrez and Uvaldo Guiterrez; and sister, Aida Benevidas. Maria left this world, to be with the Lord, on March 8, 2012. She leaves to forever cherish her memory: Varcie (Cardell) Pettigrew; grandchildren, Marlon, Travis, Emanuel, Shardell, and Miquel; great-grandchildren, Davion and Travis, Jr.; sisters, Aurora (Thomas) Salinas of California, Amelia (Mingo) Ayala and Celia (Raymond) Payne and David Gutierrez, all of Jackson, Michigan, Adoracion Ruiz, Virginia Ziegler, and Dalia (Eddie) San Miquel, all of Lansing, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
