Age 87, passed away Sunday, December 30th, 2012 at Sparrow Hospital. Mrs. Mack was a long-time resident of Lansing. Mrs. Mack was a faithful and humble servant of the Lord, and an active member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. She regularly visited the elderly, sick, and shut-in, providing words of comfort, until she was well into her seventies. She was a master gardener and exceptional cook and shared her bounty with strangers, friends, and family. She is well known for freely sharing a meal or cooking instructions with anyone who asked. Survivors include: her loving companion of more than 20 years, Mr. Sam Triplett; daughters, Lynda M. Wade and Marie Ellis; son, Maurice D. (Jackie) Mack; granddaughters, Marcie A. (Aaron) Colbert, Nadara L. Wade and L. Angela Wade, and Tasha Mack; great-granddaughter, Marissa M. Michael; and a host of loving and supportive relatives. Friends may visit Mrs. Mack Friday January 4, 12 - 9 pm at the Riley Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 -8 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 11:00 am at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 500 S. Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Lansing.
