Obituary

Malcolm L. Ware (Rennie) , 67, was born April 13, 1950 to A. D. Ware and Maryanne Patterson in Albion, Michigan.  Malcolm attended public schools in Cleveland, Ohio and completed his education in Kalamazoo, Michigan Public schools.

After graduation in 1969, Malcolm joined United States Army where he obtained the rank of Sergeant.  He was a member of the 179th Airborne Division and served courageously in the Vietnam War.  Malcolm earned two Purple Hearts for his service and was Honorably Discharged in 1972.  Malcolm worked in steel manufacturing and held other positions before retiring in 1997.

In June 2014, Malcom married Kim Marie Price.  The couple has been together for 20 years and was looking forward to celebrating their upcoming anniversary.

Malcolm was preceded death by his parents and special cousin Michael Etchinson.

Our beloved Malcolm passed away April 6, 2018.  He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Kim Marie Ware; five children, daughter, Shannen Ware; sons, Eric, Michael, Malcolm II and Matthew Ware; seven grandchildren, Ondreya, Jasmine, Anthony, Keira, Ahnikah, Calianna, and Maliaa; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marc (Johnette) Ware and Ricky Evans; aunts, Joan Jackie Hill, Florence Etchinson Truss and Patsy (Moses) Lewis; uncle, Wesley Brown; special cousin, Rhonda Lynn Hill; and a host of family, in-laws and friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Malcolm L. Ware will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018, 11:30am, at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing.  The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the memorial service.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.rileyfuneralhome.com.
