Maggie A. Lock was born April 12, 1935 in Malvern, Arkansas to the late George and Mabel Jones Carroll, Sr.
Maggie was married at the age of 17 to Henry A. Lock for 71 years. She then moved to Lansing, MI with her husband in 1954 where she began her first career as a nurses-aide at Sparow Hospital. She cared for many children throughout her life. She then started working at the Board of Water and Light, from which she retired.
Maggie had many different hobbies such as: traveling, going fishing with her husband, attending numerous family events, taking photos, and recording videos.
Maggie was a member of New Community Tabernacle church of God in Christ where she loved to sing in the choir and attend Sunday School. She had a smile that could light up a room and a heart of pure gold.
Maggie went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2023. She is preceded in death by: her parents, George and Mable Carroll; children, Henry Glen and Jacklynn Lynn; brothers, Jerry Hayman, Glen Carroll, George Carroll Jr., Charlie Carrol; sisters, Vesta Moss and Joyce Hogan.
Left to continue Maggie's legacy are: her husband, Henry Lock; sons, Michael Lock and Richard Lock; grandchildren, LaToya Brown, Michael Jordan Lock, Courtney Harris; great grandchildren, Amoni Brown, Jamari Brown, Kayden Harris, Kah'Mauri Harris, Mikael Lock, Michael Lock Jr., Mani Lock, Maximus Lock, Mason Lock and Adara Lock.
