Visitation: Friday, May 25, 2012 from 1-9 pm at Riley Funeral Home Funeral: Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11am at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church - 5200 Pleasant Grove Road, Lansing Family hour 30 minutes prior to service Louis Houston, Sr., age 94, was born on March 15, 1918 in Clarksdale, MS to Fannie and Julius Houston. Louis transitioned from this life to his eternal life, peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 19, 2012. His smile could light up the world. His kind and cheery demeanor couldn't help but make you fall in love with him. He was full of life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and a retiree of General Motors - Fisher Body and was veteran of World War II. Mr. Houston was preceded in death by: wife, Clara Houston; son, John Houston and daughter, Bettie Taylor. He leaves to cherish his precious memory: 5 children, Louis Jr. (Rose), Robert, Arron (Alexis), Robin, and Annette (Terry) Pullen; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchild and a very special friend, Katie Gibbs and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends may visit Mr. Houston Friday, May 25, from 1- 9 pm at the Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 11 am at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 5200 Pleasant Grove, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
