Lindsay "June" Beard Jr. was born on Tuesday, November 16, 1948, to Lindsay Beard Sr. and Emma (McDuffie) Beard in Brookhaven, Mississippi. Lindsay later relocated to Lansing, MI where he lived until his untimely passing.

Lindsay received his high school education from Lansing Eastern High School, and graduated with the class of 1966. During his years at Eastern, Lindsay participated in baseball, basketball, football, and track. He was truly an all-American sports player. Upon graduating high school, Lindsay enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country but was later honorably discharged. Lindsay started a career as an electrician in skilled trades for General Motors, eventually retiring after more than 30 years.

Lindsay was kind, loving, protective, organized, stern, and loved to laugh and smile. In his retirement years, Lindsay lived and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a family man who loved spending time and creating memories with his family. In his free time, Lindsay had many hobbies, which included: fishing, collecting antiques, watching sports, listening to soul music, spending time with family, and fine dining.

On the morning of Monday, December 16, 2024, Lindsay made his transition into eternal peace. He is preceded in his death by: his parents, Lindsay Sr and Emma; sisters, Mable and Elnora; nephew, Kevin; and great-grandson, Major. Lindsay will be remembered by his surviving family: including his children, Lolita and Joshua; his grandchildren, Bria and Marqel; his great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Jayce; his sisters, Mary, Ruthie, Carolyn, Linda, and Elaine; and his brothers, Robert and Dale. Lindsay also had a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews who will miss him dearly.
