Lillie M. [Tucker] Christian was born on January 10, 1937 in Shelby, Mississippi. She was one of ten children born to Archie and Mattie Tucker.

In 1956, Lillie moved to Lansing, Michigan and founded the course Phlebotomy Technician, at Lansing Community College, where she taught the four-credit course for twenty-five plus years until retiring in 2011. She also retired in 1991, after twenty-five plus years from St. Lawrence Hospital, where she worked as a birth records secretary.

Lillie passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on August 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by: the love of her life, her husband of twenty-one years, Luke O. Christian, who died in 1980, and her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving daughter, Karen Keys-Turner; her son in law, Clifford Turner; her grandson, Brandon Turner; her granddaughter, Whitney Turner; her brother, James (Betty) Tucker; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends
