Age 77, was born May 14, 1935 in Camden Mississippi, to Henry and Bertha Proctor and went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2013. Lila was a resident of Lansing for 53 years. She worked as a home health care aide. Lila loved the casino, cooking, telling stories and laughing. Mrs. Dennis was preceded in death by: her husband of 35 years, Frank Watkins; parents, Henry and Bertha Proctor; and brother, Frank Henry Proctor. Survivors include: her sons, Henry Lee (Vonda) Watkins, Milton Ricky Watkins, and Boston Jeffrey Watkins; daughters, Loretta Watkins and Lorie Fay Watkins; 16 grandchildren; one very special grandson, Henry Lee DeShawn Wells; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Mary Ellen Proctor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including one very special family friend, Curtis Wade. Friends may visit Mrs. Dennis Sunday March 10, 12 - 7 pm, at Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 11, 1:00 pm at Riley Funeral Home, 426 W. St. Joseph Street, with the family receiving friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral.
