Leila Faye Camper, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on July 3, 1956 in Lansing, MI to Elsa Satler of Nuremburg, Germany and Walter L. Smiley of Barren County, Kentucky, Leila was known for her hard-working and responsible personality, and her devotion to her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her loving husband, Embra Camper; her mother and father, Elsa Satler and Walter L. Smiley; her brother, Franz Smiley; and sister, Brenda Smiley.

She is survived by: her brother, Walter (Ann) Smiley II; sister, Laverne (Darrell) Bradberry; daughter, Loni (Chris Allen) Camper; step daughter, Enbrea Camper; and grandchildren, Dorian, Miah, Deonte, Frankie, and Nico.

Leila was a Fisher Body retiree, and member of the local UAW 602. She enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, and watching comedy and crime television shows.

A private graveside service will be held for family only.

Leila was a blessing to everyone in her life, and will be missed dearly.

There will be no services at this time for Ms. Camper.
