Mr. Lee ArticeAllen, departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 9th, 2013 with his devoted wife Angela and family members by his side. Born in Winona, Mississippi on December 23, 1949 to Eugene Allen and Mary Ann Ware, Lee accepted Jesus Christ at an early age, rededicating his life to Christ in 2011 when he became a member of Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Church. Lee relocated to Lansing, Michigan in 1968. At that time, he began a career with General Motors Corporation that lasted 37 years until his retirement in 2006. Lee enjoyed travel, caring for his automobile collection, landscaping and spending time with his wife and children. A caring and generous individual, he was always willing to help those in need. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Allen and Mary Ann Ware, son, Lee Allen, Jr., brother Albert Allen, sister Nadine Allen, and twin brother Lee Arthur Allen who died at birth. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Angela Allen, ten children, Teresa (Sheldon) Williams, Chris, Keya , Cedric and Sarena Allen, Cameshia and Jazmyne Crawford, Khylee, Kiereen and Ava Allen, siblings, in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of other loving friends and family members. Friends may visit Mr. Allen on Friday March 15, 9-9 pm at the Riley Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 16th, 12:00 pm at Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Church, 2410 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Lansing, MI with family receiving friends 1 hour prior to the service.
