Mrs. LaVerne May Cromer, 80, Lansing, MI, formerly of Washington, D.C. was rewarded with her angel wings on September 28, 2016 at Sparrow Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She was a retiree of General Motors Corporation in Lansing, MI.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Angela Tyler; husband, Jacob Cromer, three daughters, Lucille Brown, Angela Tyler and Cheryl Lovett; grandson, Jason Embry; two brothers, James and Maurice Tyler; one brother in-law, Walter Cromer.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Tyler of Lansing, MI; Ronnie Embry of Washington, D.C., step-daughter, Marsha Reynolds of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Bertha Evans of Washington, D.C.; Estell Ware of Bowie, MD; brother, Oscar Tyler, Jr. of Washington, D.C.; numerous grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
