Larry Andrew Wilson was born July 30, 1946 in Apex, North Carolina. He was born to Jim and Edith Wilson. He moved to Lansing in 1963. Larry loved to fish, barbeque, and he loved his kids and family. Larry enjoyed cooking outside with his friends and family. Larry was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was a hard working man. He worked at Lansing Ice and Fuel Janitorial Service for 15 years. At the time of his death, he was employed at Shabazz Academy School. He worked there for 16 years. He was preceded in death by: his father and mother, Jim and Edith Wilson; brother, Odell Wilson; nephew, Russell E. Brown; and niece, Evette Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Terris, Larry, Tara, McClinton, Crystal, Bonnie, Eric, and Vangie; 35 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Joseph (Mary) Wilson from Durham, North Carolina, Anthony (Jackie) Wilson of Lansing; sisters, Margie Wilson and Bonnie Wilson, both of Lansing.; his special girlfriend, Margaret Hall and her family; good friends, Michael, Joe Lewis, Henry, Frazier; and many other family members, nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends. Friends may visit Mr. Wilson on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 1 pm at New St. Paul COGIC, 1717 E. Cavanaugh Street, LANSING, MI. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
