Lahine Lane Davis was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, to Elease Lane and George Chandler. Her family moved to Michigan where she accepted the Lord at an early age. Lahine was educated in the Lansing School System. She graduated from Sexton High School and attended Lansing Business University and Lansing Community College.

Lahine's early employment was with Autobody Credit Union in Lansing, Michigan. She retired after 20 years of dedicated service to the State of Michigan in 1992. Lahine enjoyed interior design, arts and crafts, making floral arrangements, and cake decorating.

On a tranquil Tuesday afternoon, February 24, 2026, Lahine Davis caught a glimpse of her heavenly father's beckoning her to bid this world farewell. Without hesitation, Lahine silently responded to his celestial call. All is well because she is now at peace and resting in the loving arms of our redeemer!

Lahine was preceded in death by: her parents: Burhan, Sr. and Elease Thabit; three brothers, Vannest Ervin, Ronald Green, and Burhan Thabit, Jr., Lansing, MI.

Those left to cherish the legacy of love include: a devoted brother, Sylvester (Thersa) Thabit, Denver CO; seven stepsiblings, Henry Chandler, Bessie Southern, Betty Chandler, Charles Chandler, Ruth Chandler, Joe Chandler, Brenda Fikes of East Saint St, Louis, IL; a daughter, Chey Dania Davis Granroth, Midland, MI; two granddaughters, Lila and Eva Granroth, Midland, MI; a goddaughter, Keisha Williams, Lansing, MI; a dedicated caregiver, Ponethatta Swinton, Lansing, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
