L. B.
Moore
September 17, 1936 – August 9, 2019
Mr. L B Moore was born on September 17, 1936 in Dallas, TX to the late Roberta Moore and L J Moore. L B Moore accepted Christ at an early age. He had six siblings: James, Larry, Lawrence, Jerry, Jeanette and Lorenzo Moore all of Richmond, California.
L B moved to Lansing Michigan, where he was united in holy matrimony to Pinkie Marie Moore. To this union, they were blessed with 8 children.
L B was a family man who provided well for his family, working for General Motors for 30 years as a supervisor. Upon his retirement he then worked for Sheraton Hotel. L B and Pinkie then built their dream retirement home in Charlotte, MI.
L B was an avid softball player and he loved golf. He enjoyed listening to the blues, B.B. King and Johnny Taylor. He enjoyed dancing and would tear up the dance floor doing the "good foot".
On August 9, 2019, L B was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. L B job was complete and a job well done. A golden heart has stop beating and his hands are at rest.
L B was preceded in death by: his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Pinkie Moore, whom he would affectionately call "Q"; his loving daughter, Ellease Dean; his parents, L J and Roberta Moore; brothers, Lawrence, Jerry and Lorenzo Moore; sister, Jeanette Kpaka' Rodgers.
L B is survived by: his seven children, Vernessa Owens of Lansing, Lois (Leonard) Posey of Morristown, NJ, Cliftine (Joe) Bunkley, Darnetta Moore, Ricky (Pat) Moore, David (Brenda) Moore, Sandra Kay (Rodney) Brackins all of Lansing; 21 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 7 great greatgrandchildren; brothers, James (Kathleen) Moore of Rocklin, CA and Larry Moore of Richmond, CA; special aunt, Zelma Flanagan of Lansing; brother-in-law, James (Elaine) Perkins Philadelphia, PA; sister-in-law, Paula Joseph of Norristown, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. These family and friends reflect the kind of person L B was and we all loved him very much….
